LIC Policyholder Beware of calls from fake agents: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the country’s largest insurer, has alerted its customers to the rapid rise in online fraud cases in the country. LIC has told customers that if they have a phone call in which the person shows himself to be a LIC officer or an insurance regulator IRDA official, beware immediately, this call is made to deceive you.
Life Insurance Corporation of India says that such calls go to the beneficiaries of the insurance policy, they talk about the policy and tell the customers to surrender the existing policy and buy a new policy. They meanwhile entice customers with better returns in the new policy thus trying to confuse the policyholder.
LIC has asked its customers to be alert to such calls. “We never call customers and ask them to surrender the policy,” LIC said. LIC says that the customer should never pick up such unsolicited calls, do not have any kind of conversation with them. The LIC asked the customer to go to the company’s official website and register the policy. Here you will find all the information related to the policy. You don’t have to do anything about it.
LIC Policyholder Beware of calls from fake agents
LIC told customers that caution is needed when buying a policy. Buy the policy only from agents who have a license issued by IRDA or an ID card issued by LIC. There is a risk of buying a policy from someone else.
The LIC said that if you make fraudulent calls or misleading the policy, you can register your complaint by e-mail. The customer can send their complaints to co_crm_fb @ licindia. The customer can go to the LIC website and get the information from the Grievance Redressal Officer and also complain to him.
