Under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana, five thousand rupees is given in the account of the pregnant woman for nutrition on becoming pregnant for the first time. Its first installment is Rs. 1000 is paid upon registration of a pregnant woman within 150 days of conception, while the second installment of Rs. 2000 is paid within 180 days and at least one prenatal check-up is completed.
