PM Yuva 2.0 Yojana: In view of the significant impact of the first edition of PM-YUVA Scheme with large scale participation of young and budding authors in 22 Indian languages and English, PM-YUVA 2.0 is being launched on 2nd October 2022.
PM Yuva 2.0 scheme is being run for the youth who are preparing to enter the world of writing. Under this, a mentoring scheme is being run to give opportunities to young writers to write on various topics. A scholarship of Rs 50,000 per month will be given to the selected young writers. Youth upto 30 years can participate in this scheme. The application process has started and the last date is fixed on January 15.
Considering the significant impact of the first edition of PM Yuva Yojana with large-scale participation of young and emerging writers in Indian languages and English, applications are now invited from youth for Yuva 2.0. The process has been initiated to train young and budding writers up to 30 years of age to promote reading, writing and book culture in the country.

The scheme will help to develop a stream of writers who can write on various facets of Democracy in India encompassing the past, present and future. Besides, the scheme will also provide a window to the aspiring youth to articulate themselves and present a comprehensive outlook of Indian democratic values at domestic as well as international platforms.
A total of 75 authors will be selected through an all-India competition by the National Book Trust of India. At the end of training and mentoring under the mentor scheme, each selected young writer will be given a scholarship at the rate of Rs.50,000 per month for six months totaling Rs. 3 lakh will be given.
Young writers of 22 languages listed in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution can participate in the PM Yuva 2.0 scheme. These languages include English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Bodo, Santhali, Maithili and Dogri. .

Application process for aspiring young writers has started. The last date for receipt of applications is fixed as 15 January 2023. Youth applicants can apply by visiting the official website https://innovateindia.mygov.in/yuva/ and clicking on ‘Click here to submit’ at the bottom left.
